Halloween Party @Stepher's!

My niece/BFF Steph sold her house and had a Halloween/cards/last-get-together-at-her-house party last night. We had so much fun playing Nertz and being a loud and crazy family. We all have so many laughs everytime we get together, even though we probably look like idiots to the outside world! HA.

B was a sleazy detective.

Carving Pumpkins!

Last night we carved pumpkins! It was so much fun to do this with Peyton. I didn't know how long his attention span would be, but he did awesome. He loved digging out all the insides and putting the pumpkin's "hat" on and off. He thought it was pretty cool when we took them outside and lit them; however, kept telling me he was scared when I put him to bed, as he thought the pumpkins would come get him. :)

Getting all the ickies out.

B's pumpkins always turn out perfect.

I'm such a dork...

I just ordered Steph and I tickets for the premier of New Moon. I cannot WAIT to see this movie. I totally fell into the Twilight hype after I made fun of it forever. The books really are that good-I've read them all (including the partial draft of book #5 Midnight Sun). I saw the first movie after reading the book and wasn't disappointed. 11.20.09 cannot come fast enough!

Tattoo

My sister and I decided to get Pink Ribbon Tattoos in honor of our mom. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so it seemed like a perfect time to do it. My nephew Sean has a friend named Jake that works at Moment of Truth Tattoo, and he did an awesome job! We are also making donations in her name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998 and beat it. She has had two other cancers since then and has beat them both as well. She's just finishing up chemo for this last one. She's a fighter! My mom isn't a huge tattoo fan, but she was impressed with our final results. :) I love you Mama!!

Liepold Farms

I wanted to take advantage of this dry day, so this morning Peyton and I met Kate and Ethan at Liepold Farms in Boring, OR. The boys had fun running all around and checking out all the pumpkins and tractors. We're still hoping to find another dry day to hit up Sauvie's Island before Halloween.

Morning Starbucks "chocolate coffee" for the road.

The boys playing in the corn kernel box

Riding the carousel

His legs were just a tad short for him to ride the John Deere trike. He was frustrated.

Kate and Ethan checking out the animals.

Hay ride learning about the farm. He's holding a pumpkin flower that we tasted.

He loves his boots.

They loved all the tractors, like usual.

Picking out their pumpkins.

Busy, fun, Fall day

Tonight I am exhausted from a very busy day. First thing this morning Peyton and I met Kate, Ethan, Amy, and Hunter at the zoo. We got to see the new lion exhibit which was awesome. Most of the animals were out. We had a fun morning with our friends!

One of the polar bears snoozin.

They had a good time on all the new statues.

Peyton and I in front of the lions

The lions came up really close to the glass and we got some great pics.

After Peyton's nap and when B got home from work we decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and a full day off together to go to a new (to us) pumpkin patch. We went to Lee Farms in Tualatin.
This was such a fun farm! There were goats and baby cows to pet, chicks to hold, ponies to ride, baby piggies and chickens to chase, tractors, slides, a corn maze, rides, pumpkins, horses, and so much more. We had such a good time! There pumpkins were really good, and we got some apple cider donuts to go. I'm thinking this will be a new annual tradition along with Sauvie's Island! Here are a ton of pics.

Petting the goats- "Hi goat!"

Riding his first pony!

Trying to find Daddy in the corn maze

This was my absolute favorite part. All of the sudden I saw all these baby piggies run out of the barn! They were SO cute!

I want one.

The mama pig. She was a hefty one.

Peyton chasing the piggies. They are so fast!

My boys

He chased this poor chicken all over the place.

In heaven.

My little pumpkin

We all did this slide a few times, it was fast!

Baby calf.

Holding baby chickies. Peyton kept blowing on them-no idea why?

This was the slide at the end of the corn maze, we did this one tons of times!

Getting ready to load up some pumpkins/gourds!
