First goal/10k run

Last weekend was Peyton's 2nd soccer game.  I was so bummed to miss his first game.  He got his first goal this game! Every practice Peyton improves more and more. He had a ton of goal shots this game. I love watching him play and run SO fast!

Warming up

Pep talk from coach

Throwing in

Corner kick

He had another game yesterday and scored another goal! He gets so excited and turns to find us and has a GIGANTIC smile on his face.  I love it.

B didn't make it to his game last weekend because he was running the Best Dam Run 10k.  He ran it in 48 minutes.  He has been running a ton and I need to do the same because we joined a Hood to Coast team for 2013...fingers crossed that we get in!  Good job B!

Peyton thought his medal was pretty cool

Olivia too!

Homework space

Peyton has a homework packet sent home every Friday and we thought it was about time for a desk in his room where he can sit in peace to work.  His favorite color is GREEN and had been eyeballing this desk and chair in the Ikea catalogue. He loves it!

Austin turns NINE!

Last weekend we celebrated Austin's 9th birthday! He's growing up so fast.  My brother Randy and sis-in-law Amy had everyone over for a delicious BBQ~ribs, burgers, hotdogs and the works! Happy Birthday Austin Cooper!

Olivia organizing the pops and pretending to take a swig.

Austin is such a great big cousin to her.  She loves him.  Here she is doing cheers with him.

Love that smile!

Grubbin.  Not sure what by bro Hughy is doing

Peyton had a blast playing with Austin's toys

Loving her GPA Prazeau

Taste testing the frosting

Eye balling that cake!

Getting ready to watch Austin open gifts

One on One

Today was my first week day off while Peyton was at school all day, so Olivia and I had the entire day just her and I.  It totally took me back to the simple days of Peyton and I...spending the morning running errands, playing, eating lunch together, cooking and playing outside.
Today after dropping off Peyton we....
~Stopped at Tar-jay to pick up some dog food
~I made some Oatmeal energy bites-she was the taste tester
~She napped, I lifted weights.
~She woke up, I started getting dinner ready so it would be done for after soccer practice tonight while she played with a puzzle. (Chicken and black bean enchilada casserole! Yummers)
~We shared lunch...tuna fish w/pickles and wheat thins and an apple.
~We headed outside to play and go for a walk.
~Now she's napping again as I anxiously wait for B and Peyt to get home and tell me about his day!

I think Livs enjoyed the one on one time...and getting to play with Peyton's toys to all her hearts content.
She loves to play with this stroller

She spotted an airplane

She goes around and around the cult-a-sac

She loves Pancho...he on the other hand would rather be left alone.  Here he is giving her the side-eye

She just couldn't believe she got to play with all of Peyton's stuff

But I do have to say, they have a lot of fun playing together.  Here are a couple pics of them "camping" last week....

And watching a movie together.  I love them!

First Soccer Practice

On Wednesday Peyton had his first soccer practice.  It was a hot day but he did great!

Getting some sister love

Practicing passing

Dribbling and kicking HARD!

Olivia spent her time doing this slide over and over and over during practice.  She was a sweaty, dirty mess.

Peyt got some monkey bars in before we went home.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Peyton's teacher gave him a special note to open up the night before the first day of Kindergarten.  It came with some confetti to sprinkle under his pillow to help him sleep well before his big day.  He told me he slept REALLY good when he woke up the next morning...

Kindergarten 2012!

Peyt had a great first day.  He tells me he loves school and even asked me if they had night-time Kindergarten so he could go at night too.  I'm excited to watch him learn and grow this school  year.

Side note: Olivia had a hard time with his first day.  While I was dropping him off, she looked up at me and she had huge tears rolling down her face.  And she kept pointing to Peyton's empty car seat after we left and saying his name.  So sad! She will miss him during the day.

Oregon State Fair 2012

On Labor Day we headed to Salem to check out the Oregon State fair.  Farm animals, rides, greasy fair food, hot weather....lots of fun.

This was a TINY dwarf goat. He was so stinking cute.  I wanted to just take him home with us.

Hand dipped corn dogs for lunch

Peyton did a few of the kiddie rides...which turned out to be kind of boring.

Olivia's first ride on the carousel.  We were the only ones on the ride and she was waving and yelling "hi!!!" to
everyone .

Snow cone break

Peyton won a prize here...a spider man hammer

Peyton was tall enough to ride a lot of the bigger rides alone...he looks nervous in this pic before the ride started, but he was so excited and proud of himself afterwards.

Peyt and I rode the ferris wheel together.

It was fun to see the whole fair from way up above!

We can't wait to go back again next year!
