Father's Day 2016

B spent the morning/early afternoon golfing with his dad and brother.  Happy Father's Day to my father-in-law Randy. Full of integrity and so caring.  He is always there for us and both him and my mother-in-law Kim do so much for us.  I am very thankful for the both of them.
After B got home, we headed to my dad's house for a Father's Day BBQ.  I can't believe I didn't get a single picture of my dad!  :(
I'm so lucky to have the best dad, so wise, humble and hard-working.  And B is such a great dad, I'm so incredibly grateful that he is so hands-on and always there for all three of us.  The kids are lucky to have him.

Pre-Summer fun with good friends!

During all of our busy baseball schedules we managed to squeeze in some relaxing and fun BBQ times with Meggan, Jimmy, their kids and Molly and her kids. We all mesh so well and have so much fun together.  Swimming and lots of playing outside for the kids, while we chat, play cards and have beverages.

Here are some iPhone pics from the last few get togethers at the McKenzie's...

Last days of 3rd grade and Pre-K

I can't believe how much Peyton grew, he looks so much more mature! He had a great 3rd grade year.  He absolutely loved his teacher Ms. Lancaster and was always excited for school.  He did really well academically with math being his favorite and best subject.  On to 4th grade!

Liv also grew both physically and intellectually, I can't believe my baby girl will be in Kindergarten in the fall!

Pre-K Graduation

I finagled the day off so I could go to Liv's pre-k graduation celebration.  This year flew by so fast! She grew leaps and bounds this school year.  Her personality has really blossomed and she is a total social butterfly.  Her teacher always comments at how she is friends with everyone and that makes me so happy.  All I strive for is that my kids are kind-hearted, down-to-earth people.
We started out in the classroom for some refreshments and then headed to the gym for a little performance by the kids and they received their awards. I pulled Peyt out of class so he could come too, which they both loved.

We LOVED Mrs. Fennerl.  We will miss her

Here's a video of her leading prayer (I put my phone down during to take a quick photo with my camera, whoopsie)

Lots of singing and hand motions

Minor baseball 2016

Peyton also had a great first season of minors!  This season was a huge change for him.  Much more serious and competitive.  He learned so much and improved a ton. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to play this year and decided last minute to give it one last shot.  He ended up really falling in love with it and now says it's his favorite sport.  These boys had amazing coaches.  They were very strict and taught the boys discipline.  They had an unbelievable season...only losing one game and winning the championship game.  A bonus was that Kevin, Peyton's close friend from school was on his team so I had my good friend Molly there with me every game, and Liv had her buddy Kooper (Kevin's little brother) to play with at the games!  It was such a fun season and I was sad to see it end.

Peyton finally got his swing down, so towards the end of the season he got his confidence up and connected with the ball (when there was decent pitching).

Peyt mostly played center field, 2nd base and 1st base
He's so stinking cute.  (And look at that view of Mt. Hood!)

B put in so much time helping coach the team.  I loved watching the both of them every game.

Peyton and Kevin at our many after-game Dairy Queen stops.  We had baseball or teeball every single day except Sundays so cooking dinner was out the window.  A lot of quick and late dinners at home or going out.  One thing I won't miss!

Tee ball 2016

Liv had a great first year of teeball.  She truly has a natural knack for sports...and especially this sport.  She is super coordinated and accurate for her age.  The coaches had a deal with all the kids-if they hit the ball past the bases, they'd get an extra treat at the snack shack.  She made good on that deal every game and sometimes more than once a game.  I'm so excited to keep watching her...next year we'll skip her 2nd year of teeball and put her in softball.

Always excited for practice...she's a hard worker!

She got to play her good friend Kooper a few times which she always loved.
