Today Peyton and I baked some heart cookies to get in the Valentine's Day spirit. He decorated them all by himself. :) With lots of licking his fingers in between decorating...

Lucky, blessed and the like..
Often times Jill, Becky and I keep up with each other's lives via e-mail. The other day I responded to a 3-way email from Jill letting her know about the tough times my family and I were going through. My Dad has been having chest pressure and had an angiogram on Tuesday (everything turned out perfectly fine and normal-thank the Lord!) and also my mom's cancer has came back-in her abdominal wall. So I was venting and updating them like we often to do each other. I told them I just wish I could curl up on the couch with them with some Top Ramen and Doritos and watch Gidget together like we used to in college. So today I got a package from Becky with just that! This totally made me giggle and completely made my day! I am so blessed to have these girls as BFF's. Jill is in Salem which isn't too far (Cook I'm coming to see you and Zoie soon!) and Becky is in Colorado and I miss having them within arms reach. Thank you so much Bec! I can't wait to sit down and make B watch the Gidget collection with me! Love you Cooks so much and thank you for always being there for me no matter the mileage between us!

Peyton loves to draw. It amazes me the imagination he has. Some of his favorite things to draw are cars, jack-o-lanterns, tractors, quads, snowmen, stick people, and Christmas trees.

Today we went to the Seifert's house for a playdate with Hunter, Amy, Ethan, and Kate. Us mama's had some great chats/eats/laughs while the boys played and played. Thanks for having us Amy, it's always a good time!

Happy Birthday Mama!
My mom turned 68 on Tuesday January 19th. On Friday we all gathered at my parent's house for a party. Flying pie pizza, salad, cake, ice cream and pie. Delicious. Happy Birthday MAMA! We love you so much.

A great morning outside.
Today after breakfast I loaded Peyton in the jog stroller and ran to the park. We also went to the construction site nearby and checked out the loaders and excavators and stopped and fed the ducks on the way home. It felt so good to be outside! It was the perfect temperature to be outside. Peyton had a huge smile on his face. I forget how much he loves to be outside playing. After I jogged home, we played t-ball, he rode his tractor, and we colored with chalk. I am pretty excited for Spring to be here!

This week..
This past week Peyton and I have been sick and have been laying low. I'm so ready for Spring so we can get outside and play! Winter has taken its toll and we're running out of things to do inside.
Last Sunday we switched Peyton's crib into a big boy bed. He's done really well. He won't get up until we come get him, it's crazy. He would have been fine being in his crib still but I figure he's almost 3 so he's overdue. :)

We've been shooting lots of hoops. Ok I've been shooting lots of hoops. :) But he likes it too and has a pretty good lefty shot! He gets really excited when he makes a hoop and we give double high-fives! Check out that follow-through!
He LOVES this glow doodle. He draws on it everyday for long periods of time. His Aunt Sherri and Uncle Hugh got him this for Christmas.

Bring on 2010
Last night we rang in the New Year with the Seiferts. We had a lot of fun and tons of laughs. The boys played like crazy and both made it until midnight. Thanks for having us Ben and Amy! Happy New Year!

Snow!
Yesterday it started snowing when I left for work. I was so sad, because I wanted to play with Peyton. I was so glad when I woke up and there was still snow on the ground. Peyton and I headed out after breakfast. He had a blast. (Click on image to make it bigger)
