Then we headed over to my Dad's for the Prazeau celebration.  We had tons of food that we snacked on throughout the afternoon.  Again, this holiday was just weird without my mom.  I don't know that it will ever be the same without her.

Then we left my Dad's and headed over to B's parents to end the night.  He got lots more stuff, including a new bedding set for his new bed that we'll be setting up in a week or so.

 This Christmas was definitely an off one.  I expected it to be different and hard to go through the holidays just a couple months after my mom passed, but wow it was really hard to get in the Christmas spirit.  If it weren't for Peyton it would have been 10 times worse.  Seeing the joy he experiences during the holidays definitely helped me cope.  Every year may get easier, but there will always be a void in our hearts.  However, I know my mom had a great Christmas with Jesus up in heaven!

Christmas Eve

Running on about 3 hours of sleep, I worked until 330pm on Christmas Eve. After work I rushed home to bake a lasagna to get ready for a Christmas party at the Springer house.  We did a gift exchange and ate lots of good food.

 Then we came home and got ready for Santa to come.  Tired guy was so ready for bed (as were B and I).  He said "Mommy I think I need to go to bed so Santa can come."

32 Weeks

On Thursday I had my 32-week appointment.  Peyton and B came with me this time.  It was fun to have Peyt there to listen to the baby's heartbeat and chat with my doctor a bit.  It was another routine, quick visit.  Everything is right on track.

Baby's heart rate: 160's
Weight gain: 1 lb (21 total)

I'm slowly but surely getting more uncomfortable.  Sleep is my biggest complaint.  I can't seem to get comfortable, and have a hard time falling back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night.  I haven't been having any cravings, or much of an appetite really.  I get full really fast.  I'm trying to eat small snacks, etc throughout the day.  This baby gets the hiccups so much!  Baby is moving around tons, and sometimes its kicks to my ribs take my breath away.  :)
I didn't have a chance to get a 32-week belly shot.  I'm 33 weeks today so I'll try and get a pic this week.  I really can't believe we're only 7 weeks away from meeting our baby!

Christmas Program

I was a nervous wreck all Friday, not knowing if we'd have a repeat of his Thanksgiving performance.  When we first got there to drop him off, he resisted, but thankfully Teacher Shanise came to the rescue and asked him to help her with some stuff before the show started.  He loves to help her.  So we went and sat down and waited for the show to start.  I was so relieved when he walked out with his class and he wasn't crying, and he was ready and willing to walk up on stage!  He headed straight for one of the microphones, as some of the other kids were.  He didn't sing that much, he tried the entire time to get up front, with no success... it was pretty hilarious.  His class sang Feliz Navidad (he never did put his sombrero on, but did end up shaking his maracas a little bit) and Go Tell it on the Mountain. 

My pictures didn't turn out that well.  Afterwards I realized I had my camera on the wrong setting.  But, I cannot wait to watch the video we took!

He was so excited to see everyone who came and to give us our gift he made (an ornament and a magnet picture frame of him).

He's been asking to decorate a gingerbread house all week!  It was really hard for him to not eat all the candies..

Playdate

On Sunday, Kate, Amy and I finally arranged a time for a playdate!  With all our different schedules and Hunter and Peyton in school, it's been hard to find a time that works.  First Amy and Hunter had us over to play and the boys exchanged Christmas gifts.  Peyton got Candyland from Ethan, which he wants to play all the time and Hunter gave him a Buzz Lightyear mug with hot chocolate.  Peyton loved drinking his 'hot coffee' in his big boy 'breakable' mug.  :)  Peyt gave his buddies lego sets and some treats.
Then we went to Ceramicafe to paint.  My camera battery was dead, so thank you Kate for the pictures!!

This is Peyton's favorite Christmas song.  Some parts are hard to hear as my psycho dog is scratching trying to get something from under the couch.  She's still for sale if anyone's interested.  ;)

30 Weeks

Today I had my 30 week appointment.  It was another quick 5 min appointment.  Everything is still right on track and looking good.

Weight gain: 2 lbs (20 total)

Baby's heart rate: High 140's

I'll start going in every two weeks now.  I've been feeling pretty good for the most part.  I've started to have back pain, and it takes me a while to get up from a laying position.  Sleep is starting to be disturbed..I just can't get comfortable and I'm tired of laying on my sides!  Plus, once I wake up, I start thinking of all the stuff we need to get done, and start making lists in my head.  So I'm tired!  I find if I do too much during the day, my back just aches like crazy.  Baby has been moving around a lot, all day! He/she gets the hiccups quite a bit and I've started having Braxton Hicks contractions throughout the day.  Peyton has been a helper for me, he helps me put my socks and shoes on (ha) and will pick stuff up off the floor that are hard for me to bend down and reach.  I have a feeling he will be a big helper once the baby is here. We've finished painting the baby's room and we're going to get new carpet in all the bedrooms hopefully before Christmas.  It's coming together though!
