This past week Peyton went to all day (8am-4pm) CYO basketball camp. This was so fun to have him experience! I
loved CYO growing up and I love that he enjoyed it so much. He absolutely loved it. They did lots of basketball skill stations, scrimmaging, and also had other activities in between such as swimming, dodgeball, and a short movie time. He asked us to drop him off early, and to stay late. He even asked if we could show up at 5am instead of 8am. :) The only negative about this was the commute. The camp was at Valley Catholic HS in Beaverton. Fairview to Beaverton in traffic both ways was horrid. Almost a 3-hour round trip twice a day was taxing. But we'd do it again in a second, it was very worth it. Big thanks to B's parents and Aunt Marcia for dropping him off most of the days. Also, the director of CYO ended up being one of my assistant coaches from Central Catholic, so it was nice to see her and I can now say that Peyton and I have had the same coach! I love basketball and I'm so so thankful that Peyt is sharing that love with me. He learned so much this week about the game and even had us adjust our hoop at home to regulation height. He is super excited for fall CYO coming up in September!
