Scooter tricks

Peyton sees the older neighbor kids doing tricks on their bikes and scooters and is always trying to do cool stuff too.  He wanted me to video this scooter trick:

Hunter turns 5!

This weekend we headed out to Wunderland Nickel Arcade to celebrate Mr. Hunter turning 5! I still can't believe how fast these boys are growing up. Peyton had SO much fun with his bag of nickels.  He told me right when he walked in that he hoped he could get enough tickets for a light saber. I was secretly hoping and thinking that he wouldn't (as I've had my fill of everything turning into a sword at home.  He's so into NinjaGo right now!), but wouldn't you know it, he did have enough.  He got a LOT of tickets.  We should take him to Vegas.  Thank you Amy, Aaron and Hunter for a great party! Happy Birthday Hunter!

BIG swing

This Saturday Peyton had another game.  It was amazing how much the kids improved just from their first game! Much less confusion, and lots of great hits and throws.  It was a perfect sunny day.  I love watching him play!

Before his game I was giving him some pointers and told him to make his swing bigger.  So EVERY single time he went up to bat, he told his coach "MY mom told me to have  BIIIIIIIG swing!" I got his last at bat on video--the video is a bit shakey as I'm trying to keep Olivia with me as I film. If you listen closely in the beginning, you can hear him say it in this video, which was his last time at bat.  And since he was the final batter, he got to run all the bases.

First Game...

Last night Peyton had his very first game. He did great!  Just need to work on dropping the bat after he hits. :)  It's so hilarious to watch these kids play. It will be interesting to see how he progresses in learning the game as the season goes on.  Great job Peyt, we are SO proud of you!
So excited for his first t-ball game!!

Warming up, playing catch

Listening to coach..

Team huddle

He had a couple good hits!

Running bases

It's so entertaining to watch the kids out on the field...some distracted...some bored.

They all race to the ball.

Good Game high-fives

Easter 2012

Last night B went out to celebrate Aaron's 30th birthday (Happy Birthday A!) I stayed home with the kids and we got ready for bed so the Easter bunny could get busy and make his deliveries! We set out some carrots for him which he devoured!
Olivia and Peyton's baskets filled up by the Easter Bunny!

Daddy's basket

The bunny left a trail of eggs down the hall from the kids' bedrooms

Peyton woke up so excited to find out what the bunny brought!

Olivia found some eggs too
This year, my Dad headed to Joseph to spend Easter there, sad I didn't see him, but glad he got to spend time with his sister and bro-in-law.  We headed to Easter mass and then went to B's parent's house for an awesome brunch.  Soo much delicious food and mimosas.  I am still stuffed!

I tried to get a shot of B doing the hula hoop but no such luck

Peyton got the hang of it!

Happy Easter!

Easter Eggs and Opening Ceremonies

Friday night after work, and after Olivia went down for the night, we dyed Easter eggs with Peyt.  He loved that he was able to "stay up late" with us.  We also played a few games of memory with him.

He did it all by himself

Then Saturday morning we headed up to Columbia Park for Reynolds Little League opening ceremonies.  Peyton got his uniform, hat, and candy/pepperoni to sell.  (anyone want any? ;)  They are the Rookie Rockies with Peyton as number 8. Now to shop for some baseball pants and socks so he's ready for his first game on Tuesday.

Getting annoyed with me taking pictures "AGAIN Mom?!"

Being introduced and running out on the field.

It was super duper windy, but warm.  Olivia had fun running all around the place (with big brother's hat on...she loves anything that she knows is his)

14 Months

Olivia is 14 months!
It's funny how just a month ago, she went from taking a few steps here and there and preferring crawling to now walking always.  She toddles around the house all day and is so proud of herself.  Olivia is babbling constantly and has said quite a few new words this past month.  Baby, milk, hi, bear, Peyt, nie-nie (night night), bunny, bun bun, please ('peas') are a few.  She also has started shaking her head (furiously) at us when she doesn't want something or is frustrated.
She continues to be a good eater...the only new food I can think of that she's had lately is pickles, and she loves them.  Her preference lately over everything else has been fruit.
She's in size 5 diapers, size 5 shoe, and size 18-24 month clothes. She's out of her infant car seat and in her big girl seat which she loves to sit more up-right.
She still loves her bunny and many of her other stuffed animals.  Also, she has taking a big liking to her baby and I often find her feeding it with a baby doll bottle.  So funny how girls naturally gravitate towards the girly things and I love it...
She's sleeping great and is very happy-go-lucky the majority of the time.  We love you Livs, happy 14 months baby girl!

Getting better with her spoon

She loves basketball

She's always bringing books to us for us to read to her

And oh does she love her big brother...she's always smothering him with hugs

Most of the time he doesn't mind...sometimes he gets pretty annoyed

Silly girl

They've started playing together a lot more.

And finally, a video of Livs strutting around in her new bikini
