Good job

Peyton has really turned into a chatterbox in the last few weeks. He's putting words together into sentences and saying words that he never has before. Lately, his favorite little phrase has been "Good job Peyton" or "Good job Mama." He would never ever say his name before, then all of the sudden he says it perfectly. It's so crazy how fast he grows. Just today I watched some home video from this past Christmas, and he seems so little just 6 months ago! It blows my mind. I'm trying to savor everyday with him, because before I know it he will be starting pre-school. Here's a video of him jumping and telling himself good job.

Messy eater lately!

Just a couple pics of his messy-eating lately...

His first taste of a Taco Bell burrito...he loved it just like his mama! Took the whole thing apart.
He has to get every drop out of his pudding cup...

Mommy time

My friend Amy had this awesome idea: One of us moms (Kate, Amy, or I) would take all three boys (Ethan, Hunter, and Peyton) for a few hours while the other two moms had free time. Last week Amy watched the boys while Kate and I were FREE!! :) Peyton was a little upset when I snuck out but ended up having a total blast with his buddies. I went to the gym to get a much needed guilt-free workout in and when I got back to pick up my little guy, he did not want to leave! This is such a great idea-the boys get more social time, Peyton gets used to someone other than family watching him, and the mamas get some kid-free time. Here's some pictures I stole from Amy. :) Thanks again Amy!

Morning at the zoo

We spent the morning at the zoo today. Peyton had fun with his buddy Ethan, running around seeing all the animals. By far his favorite part of the zoo is the tractor. I love having a zoo membership and not having to worry about seeing EVERY single exhibit, knowing we will soon be back for another trip! I discovered that my camera battery was dead when we got there, but Kate was awesome and sent me a few pics she got. Thanks Kate!

Park/Salish Ponds

Today B, Peyton, and I went to the park near our house. Peyton is getting more brave with this play structure and is climbing like crazy. This neighborhood cat is almost always there when we go. It's a very friendly cat and doesn't mind kids at all. It's just funny that almost everytime we're there, it appears out of nowhere out of the woods. Also, there was a "story book walk" taking place. There is a trail that leads to the Salish Ponds in Fairview right behind the park. Along the trail were posts with pages of the story. Peyton wasn't too interested in the story and was more concerned with seeing all the fishies in the ponds. It was a long, but fun nature walk.

Getting more and more brave...

Crazy kitty...

Last night we went to my parent's house for a BBQ. My grandma is in town for a couple weeks, so it's nice to see her! She's 91, but doesn't she look awesome for her age?! She wears it well.
Peyton had fun cooling off in the sprinkler. Here's some pics... (Click to make them bigger, his face is funny in some of the pics)

He wanted us to chase him
