We started out our Christmas tree hunt with different plans this year- to go up to Mt Hood with a tree permit to cut down a tree in the snow with the family. We didn't have much luck with too treacherous of roads for our Volvo so we ended up bailing the family and heading to a tree farm in Sandy. It wasn't what we had planned but we found our tree!

Brandon's Grandma handed down this train to B's dad and then to us. We've always wanted a train around our tree. The kids love it.
B's parents bought us a Great Wolfe Lodge weekend from the kids' school auction and we finally put it to use! Our good friends the McKenzie's decided to come with us and it was a blast! We all had a great time at the water park and hanging out. The water slides were so awesome. The boys also did a magic quest which they really loved. We would definitely like to go back.
Ready to get started
We finagled getting our rooms right next door to each other and the kids were back and forth the entire trip, including using these "weird phones with cords" to call each other.
The rooms were really nice and comfortable. There was a fridge, coffee maker, microwave so we brought a lot of snacks and drinks which was nice.
