Yesterday B and I ran the 15k shamrock run! I was sort of dreading this hilly course, but it ended up not being bad at all. My goal was to not stop to walk and keep my pace under 9 min which I did. My finishing time was 1:19:36. The weather was perfect, chilly but no rain. This was the kick in the butt we needed to kick start our Hood to Coast training. B did great and ran the entire thing too. His time was 1:24:49. I'm proud of us!

Sunshine
Today was so nice! What a difference a little sunshine makes. I luckily had today off and Peyt had no school so it was like old times just being home with both kids. We got a couple doctor appointments out of the way, did some painting and we spent a lot of time outside. Peyt and I played catch and shot some hoops outside which is my fave! I love that he is enjoying the things I did as a kid. They kids covered the cult o sac with chalk, blew bubbles, rode bikes/scooters, I got a nice long run in (with no running headband over my ears, and my hands weren't numb!), and we went on a walk. It was a really good day!!
Playing catch with Peyt....the kid's got a great (lefty) arm! |

Olivia's first theater movie
On Saturday I took Peyt and Liv to see Wreck It Ralph. We went to the Academy Theater in the Mt Tabor area. It was nice. I wasn't sure how Liv would do as the movie started when she usually goes down for a nap, but she did really well. She just got a little restless at the end saying she was tired and wanted to go home. Peyt loved the movie, he was so excited to see some of the characters from his DS games. I love having little dates with my kids!
Harsh iPhone pic. I could not get Liv's red eye to go away! |
