This morning, as I woke up exhausted from about 4 hours of broken up sleep, I told Peyton that I really missed Grandma. He snuggled up to me and said, "Well just ask God to take the bad things away and He will let you go to heaven and see her."
Wow. I love that boy.

Busy weekend!
We had a very fun and busy weekend! Saturday we ran a lot of errands and then met up Kate and Jeff for happy hour at Portland City Grill. It was delicious as usual and with great company!
Sunday Peyton and I headed out to Wilsonville to Bullwinkles for Ethan's 4th birthday party! We had a great time playing games and riding go-karts, then Kate put together a great picnic with yummy treats!
After we got home and after Olivia napped we went over to my brother Randy's house to see his newly remodeled kitchen and have a BBQ.

Peyton has always wanted a pogo stick and played with Austin's THE entire night. He finally got it down where he could get a couple jumps in, he doesn't really have enough weight to do it yet. |
Their new kitchen! It's beautiful |

Father's Day 2011
B had to work today but we anxiously waited for him to come home to give him his gifts. I made him a Father's Day blurb book with tons of pictures and dialogue from Peyton. Here are some of the questions/answers from the book:
Why does Mommy love Daddy?
"Because she loves him so much and got married and because she cooks a good dinner."
What is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?
"Eat candy, go outside, and play legos."
What is Daddy's favorite food?
"Cookies, BBQ pork, and chocolate."
What makes Daddy smile?
"Probably funny stuff."
What was Daddy like as a little boy?
"He ate candy and was probably a good boy."
How do you know that Daddy loves you?
"He shows me a surprise and give me loves."
What's Daddy's favorite thing to do with you?
"He likes to play with me."
How does Daddy know that you love him?
"Because I love him so much."
I love Daddy because...
"I love him and miss him at work."
How old is Daddy?
"3."
What does Daddy love?
"Mommy and he likes to get married with her and get wedding cake."
What does Daddy do?
"He makes money."
I also asked him some of his camping/beach memories and put them in there too. I'm so thankful to have B as our kids Dad! Love you B!
After B opened his gifts, I left with Peyton to my Dad's house and B went to his parent's house with Olivia. I hate splitting up, but sometimes we just have to for holidays since one of us is usually working part of the day.
We played basketball, LAUGHED so much, BBQ'd dinner (and dessert), and relived some fun childhood memories...

Washington Park
Friday after Peyt had school we headed up to Washington Park to take advantage of a gorgeous day. Peyton played in the sand box almost the entire time and we perused around the rose gardens. It was a fun afternoon!
Olivia hung out contently in her stroller, taking all the action in. |
He could have stayed here all day |
Handsome devil |
He ran around smelling the roses and picking out flowers for me to photo |
Love this pic of my boys |
We ended the afternoon with some ice cold treats. |

Junior Parade
Yesterday we met Kate and Ethan at the Junior Rose Parade. Peyton had a blast running around with Ethan before the parade started and liked watching the marching bands, unicycles, and all the mustangs. Olivia was pretty content in the Bjorn, tried to sleep but the bands were just too noisy. :)
