A few months back, my Grandma Prazeau suffered a stroke. She hasn't really been the same since and really slowed down. But she has lived 93 wonderful years so far! B, Peyt and I drove (6 hours!) over to Joseph, OR where she lives part of the year with my Uncle Dave and Aunt Carol. She's stopped taking her medicine and says she's ready to be with Jesus in heaven. We wanted to see her before she went! She's still eating a bite or two a day but is still plugging along. She sleeps a ton, but we tried to savor all the times she was awake. She is a very devout Catholic. One afternoon I walked through the house, trying to be quiet, but I realized she wasn't sleeping, but saying her Rosary, which she does daily and often. She amazes me.
If you have not been to Joseph, or any of the surrounding areas of Joseph, you MUST. Oh my. My dad has shown me tons of his pictures from there, but you can't imagine how beautiful it is until you are there. My breath was taken away multiple times by the snowy mountains that seem so close that you could just reach out and touch them. It's a tiny town and everyone is so friendly! My whole family is going to camp there next year at Wallowa Lake which is so gorgeous! My dad has been looking at property and houses there, and I'm sure that's where he will end up retiring. His brother also lives close to there in Lostine, which is just a few miles away.
I'm thinking of going back up there on Thursday with my brothers, so I can take advantage of my time off this week and see my Grandma one last time. It was hard to drive away from there when we left, knowing that I may not ever see her again...
Thank you Uncle Dave and Aunt Carol for all your hospitality! We love you guys..

| We missed our little Olivia! We didn't think she would enjoy that long drive and since it was such a short trip. Thank you to B's parents for watching her, they are lifesavers to us at the drop of a hat. We are so thankful for them. |
