Kate's Shower & Austin's Birthday Party

Yesterday after Peyton's basketball game, Olivia and I went to a belated baby shower for Kate since she delivered Sullivan a few days before her shower date in June.  My sister-in-law Amy threw the shower at my dad's house and followed it with Austin's 10th birthday party.  I can't believe he's 10!

Liv and I at her very first baby shower.

Amy rented a soft serve machine for the parties, so fun!

Olivia was a great present helper....sometimes a little too helpful :)

Sully is so laid back and chill! I just love him to pieces.

Birthday kisses for Austin!

I can't believe he's TEN!

I love my gorgeous nieces!

Peyton is looking so much older to me lately.

Photographer in the making.

Since we had a full day of places to be, Olivia didn't get her normal afternoon nap in and boy was she tired as the afternoon went on.  And sugar loaded and delirious.  She couldn't even walk straight.

Grandparent love..  They're too young!

Sweet boy finally conked out.  He's so cute, I can't even stand it!

Basketball

Peyton started Fall CYO basketball with his school.  The team is made up of 1st and 2nd graders.  They have been practicing once a week and just had their first game yesterday. (He also had a soccer game at the same time :( so we decided we'll have to trade off between the two sports when there are conflicts).  The game was pretty chaotic being the first game.  The kids are still figuring out the game.  I'm excited to watch him this season!

Soccer

Peyton started another season of Fall soccer.  He practices twice a week and has games on Saturdays.  Last Saturday was his first game of the season.  He did great and had a goal!

Teeth #5&6

Peyton lost 2 top teeth last week. The first he lost on Monday after school at Grammy's house. He was rinsing it off and dropped it down the sink! :( He wrote this note to the tooth fairy...so sweet.
He got cash from the tooth fairy at home AND she left money by Grammy's sink! So Peyton decided that he would drop his tooth down the drain next time too so he could get double money. Ha, I told him it didn't work that way and that the tooth fairy would know that he did it on purpose.

Then on Friday he lost another top tooth at school. They gave him a tooth necklace to keep it in but he lost it on the playground. Then found it! Then lost it again showing it to one of his friends! Sad. The tooth fairy still left him money though...
I love his toothless smile! He has his school pics tomorrow. :)

Hood to Coast 2013

B and I ran the Hood to Coast relay race this year!  We were nervous and didn't know what to expect going into it but had a great time and it felt like an awesome accomplishment! Our team did great, we ended up finishing the race within 3 minutes of our projected time!  We were thankful we had no injuries or set backs.  The weather was perfect, cloudy and not too hot. B and I both ran about 17 miles a piece.  I kept about a 7:30-8:00 pace average which I was happy about.  I have to say my last leg was pretty miserable.  No sleep, 3:30 am, uphill, misting and pitch black.  I was so happy to be done with that leg!  Overall it was a great experience and maybe we'll get lucky in the lottery and get to run it again next year..

iPhone pics during the race....

Gorgeous but VERY chilly morning at Timberline.
The start!
Van 1 ready to go!

B was runner #1, ready to go!

Our team name was the Rip City Runners
Ready for some sleep (HA, yeah that didn't happen) after our 2nd legs.

And these are from the HTC website.
Running down MT Hood for my first leg in the fog.

My second leg which was from the waterfront to about 2.5 miles past the St. Johns Bridge on HWY 30
B's first leg down Mt Hood, he made great time..we barely made it in the van to get me there for the hand off!
B's 2nd leg from Oaks Park to the waterfront.  This was his most difficult leg-long and in the blazing sun.

The Rip City Runners in Seaside after our finish!

B's parents drove to Seaside with the kids to pick us up, and we headed to Lincoln City to stay the night.  We rented the cutest beach house from some friends of Aunt Marcia.  It was a short overnight trip but we had fun!
The kids had fun at the house, watching the VHS movies that were there.

On our way into Newport for the day we stopped and whale watched for a bit.  Kind of hard to see, but in the middle of the photo was where they were coming up.

Love these two!
